What are YOU Famous for?
July 20th, 2008
… Let me Count the WAYS.
Every year at this time I get dozens of calls from Radio stations around the country asking about the holiday which is the “famous” part. Being interviewed by radio personalities all over the US makes me feel sort of like a celebrity, so I guess you could say “I am famous” for creating this holiday. It’s one of my “claims to fame.”
Webster’s defines famous as: renouned, celebrated, well-known, prominent, legendary.
Each of us fits that definition to some extent. The amount of “fame” each of us achieves however, is only relevant if we use it to our advantage. Here are some ways you fulfill the definition of “famous.”
You can read more about Get Out of The Doghouse Day including press releases, contests and other things we did to promote the holiday at Eden Florist http://www.edenflorist.com/doghousepressrelease.asp.
I’d love to hear from you – What’s your claim to fame? What are you famous for?

Heidi!
Great post.
I find that you always need to have another project to promote, or another tidbit to announce, or you are forgotten in this day and age. It is better to be known in a good way, we don’t want to be famous for bad things!!
Hopefully people think of me for Social Networking coaching and training. I do a lot of speaking and webinars for that.
Video interviews is a niche that I have developed to ride along with my blog talk radio show. The feedback has been extraordinarily good.
I am very successful as Hypnotherapist and Energy Healer, and one of the most common ways that people look for those skills is when they quit smoking. My new online Quit Smoking in 21 Days or Less program will be ready for the public in another week or so!! I would love to be famous for that, and have hundreds of people buy this affordable and effective program every month!
More products will be coming out soon to help people with their fears, phobias, addictions, ADD, and so much more!
I want to be remembered for being kind, compassionate, and that I changed people’s lives. Guess I better get back to work!
Hugs,
Sally

Heidi,
I like your new site. It suits your feisty little red-headed self!
Famous? I have garnered more than my fair share in the fitness industry, as a national TV fitness pro, video star, ya da ya da.
well known and recognized in my city for my newspaper column.
I’m working on four books right now, the first coming out in Spring of ’09, and I’m forging ahead with two successful businesses.
All this is fine, but what I am most proud of are my three daughters and son-in-law, their success, but mostly their Christian walk.

Let’s see….I’ve written a book, done a few speaking engagements, and have mentored several children. Guess that makes me famous. Hmmm.

So much about you I still don’t know.
I’m famous for creating a kitchen garden that recieved press coverage. promoting the task of growing healthy gardens all over the world and sharing the know how and the results so everyone and anyone can join in.
International Kitchen Garden Day is happening again in August…I’ll keep you updated on my doings.
Giving credit and thanks to our wonderful leader, Roger Doiron of Main for being the brain child of the concept and for spearheading the project.
