These are great pieces of advice, Heidi, and it’s good to see that you advise than blogs aren’t for everyone (nor does everyone need a blog).

Be passionate about it and know that you’re in it for the long run, that it takes time, effort and love to start and maintain.

I’d also suggest that you should write what you’d want to read – if you’re just writing for your “audience”, that can dilute your own voice and harm the blog in the process.
